The Flower Challenge #24 'Anything Goes'

The Flower Challenge

The Flower Challenge #24 'Anything Goes'

Today I'm sharing a card I created for The Flower Challenge

The flower stamp is from Rubbernecker Stamps. It's called Daisy Daydream. I googled daisies so I could see all the different colors that daisies come in. I decided to go with blue with a green center.

I'm always so mesmerized when I go to a stamp show and stop at the Rubbernecker booth. I love watching the guy that does demos. He makes it look so easy. He always uses Ken Oliver's color burst powders. I don't have those, I have the Brusho Crystal Colors. I do like them, I just forget to pull the out and play with them.

I used Distress Oxide inks for my watercolor. The colors I used were mowed lawn and blueprint sketch.  I used VersaFine onyx black for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Flower Turnabout stamp by Concord & 9th.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Cards In Envy - Yellow & Black Card Challenge

Cards In Envy Yellow & Black Challenge

Cards In Envy - Yellow & Black Card Challenge

I love yellow and black together!

While I was perusing one of email lists I get everyday of card challenges, my eye caught this one and I knew I wanted to participate. The project has to be flat meaning no lumps or bumps that are thicker than 1/4". The sequins are no problem as far as adding dimension.

I'm just going to enter the card above in this challenge even though I made two. This is my first time creating a card for this challenge.

What I find interesting and something that I like is that they have a list of upcoming challenge themes on their blog. Right now they are out to January 21, 2019! I love that I can find the themes I like and create a card further in advance. I wish more card challenge blogs would do this. I'd probably be able to participate in more. When you work full-time, some days are more exhausting than others. It's hard to make the deadlines of some of the challenges you want to play along with. Some evenings I just can't get any crafty time in. I don't always have the whole weekend to craft. Enough of that, on to my cards!

Products for both cards are identical except for the sentiment and the stencil I used. The first card uses a stencil from Hero Arts. I'm not sure what the name of it is. The second card uses a stencil from Heidi Swapp. Again I'm not sure what the name is. The image on both is from Rubbernecker Stamps called Floral #4. Both sentiments are from The Most Beauty stamp set by Reverse Confetti. I used Distress Oxide in fossilized amber for the background and VeraFine in onyx black for the sentiment.

A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #74 - "Anything Goes"

A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #74 - "Anything Goes"

I'm linking this card to the challenge below.

A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #74 - "Anything Goes"

I used The Crafters Workshop (TCW) light and fluffy modeling paste over a Dare To Be Artsy mixed  media stencil called Wacky Boxes. I understand that there is now a Wacky Boxes die! I may have to buy it!

This is the third card I've made with the same color combination. I swear it's my last one using these colors, for now anyway! You can see those cards here and here. I just can't stand to waste ink. I put too much down on my mat. For this card I spritzed more water on the ink and flicked it over the wet modeling paste. I love the dimension.

A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #74 - "Anything Goes"

The Distress Oxide ink colors used were carved pumpkin, fossilized amber and salty ocean.

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti called Sentiment Essentials. There is also a die to match.

I stamp the sentiment using VersaFine black onyx ink.

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge 104! - Anything Goes

Simon Says Flicker Challenge #104

I'm entering the two cards above in the Simon Says Flicker Challenge #104 this week.

The theme this time is "Anything Goes"

The cards below are extra cards I made using different sentiments that aren't from Simon Says Stamp.

All cards use the stamp set called Many Thanks from Simon Says Stamp.

The card above on the left uses the Simon Says Stamp Thanks For Being There set.

Since I had the Many Thanks stamp set out and set up in my MISTI I decided to create several cards at once.

Simon Says Flicker Challenge #104

This card uses the stamp set A Friend Like You from Reverse Confetti.

Simon Says Flicker Challenge #104

The stamp set for this card is also from Reverse Confetti called The Most Beauty.

Simon Says Flicker Challenge #104

This final card uses the Avery Elle Simply Said stamp and die set. Sentiments for all cards were stamped with VersaFine black onyx ink. The Distress Oxide inks used for stamping the flowers are: salty ocean, squeezed lemonade, peeled paint, mermaid lagoon and picked raspberry. On the last card I used Gina K's fresh asparagus for the leaves.

I love using the MISTI for stamping multiple cards at once!

Addicted To Stamps and More! Challenge #306 - Anything Goes

Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge #306

Happy Saturday!

The card I'm sharing today is for the card challenge going on over at:

Addicted To Stamps and More! Challenge #306

I am participating in several challenges this week. I get an email everyday letting me know what challenges are going on. I go through them all to see what I can come up with. I generally stay away from any challenges that have to do with using digital images. I have way to many stamps for that! I love the "Anything Goes" challenges and the ones I tend to gravitate toward are color, sketch and CAS (clean and simple) challenges. Today's challenge is an Anything Goes challenge.

Since I knew I wanted to play in several challenges, I scanned them all and started creating my card backgrounds. After I did that I narrowed my sentiments down for each card.

For this card I used Distress Oxide ink in fossilized amber, carved pumpkin and salty ocean. Because I always have leftover ink and I don't want to waste it, two cards for two more challenges use the same color combination.

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti called The Most Beauty. I diecut it using the Double Stitched Circles from Our Daily Bread Designs. I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine ink in black onyx. After I finished the card I flicked ink over it using the Tim Holtz Splatter Brush.

Check back for the rest of the cards I post today!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #295

Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #295

I'm sharing a card I created for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

I'm getting in on this challenge by the skin of my teeth.

This is a very clean and simple sketch. I like that.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #295

I used very minimal supplies for this card.

I used a leftover piece of water colored cardstock from a card I created yesterday. You can see that card here.

New Ending

New Ending

Here's another one of the backgrounds that I've been creating and setting aside waiting to find a sentiment that I want to use. I'm not sure why I'm so poky deciding on sentiments. It could very well be that I am overwhelmed with the amount of stamp sets I own. I like to have choices and I have many! One can never have enough craft supplies, right?! I love collecting inspirational and humorous sentiments for cards.

New Ending

This is a very cool background die. I die cut it in white card stock and then adhered over a water color panel I made using distress oxide inks. I also added a little sheer shimmer spray by Imagine Crafts over the panel.

Smile

Smile

When I saw that The Color Throwdown Challenge was for red, black and white I knew I was going to create a card for it! Black and red are two of my favorite colors for cards. For quite awhile I've gone out of my comfort zone and used other colors because there for awhile I used these two colors a lot! I almost always use black. I will never not be able to do that.

Please take the time to check out the cards that their design team have created. They are just awesome and gorgeous!

Smile

For my card I used distress oxide ink with a stencil. After I made three other panels (which I will use for other cards), I made one more and settled on this one. I just couldn't make a decision on which I liked best! I inked up my stencil from The Crafter's Workshop spritzed it with water and then laid my cardstock on the stencil.

Smile

I used a die set from Simon Says Stamp called Perfect Shapes for the hexagons. This die set also has a matching stamp set. The wildflower is a die from Sizzix.

Smile

For my sentiment I used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. All products are listed below.

My card is linked to this challenge:

Sympathy Cards

Sympathy Cards

I played around my a stamp set from Gina K Designs called Sending Love for these two cards. I took a 6 in by 8 in piece of white cardstock and stamped all over it with different stamps from the set. When I was satisfied with how it looked I cut it in half and used two different distress oxide inks and just blended them over the whole piece of cardstock. All supplies are listed below.

Sympathy Cards

I the splatted each panel with Distress Paint.

Sympathy Cards

I love how they turned out! I really need to do this with more of my stamp sets. I have so many that have so many unused stamps. Using more of the set really give you a lot more mileage out of your stamps.

I'm linking my blue card to these challenges:

Supplies:
Distress Oxide Ink: wilted violet and salty ocean
Gina K Stamps: Sending Love and Scripty Sayings
Distress Paint: picket fence
Versafine Ink: black onyx
Doodlebug Designs Sprinkles: blue jean glitter
Recollections bling

My card for today uses a Stampin' Up stencil for my background. I placed my stencil over my card panel, added distress oxide ink and then spritzed with water. I stamp the image with distress oxide ink also. I just love how they oxide inks stamp. I've been using them almost exclusively. I can't wait until more colors are released. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine ink. All products are listed below.

Hello Friend

Hello Friend

I have another card for some challenges today! I was actually planning to use this card for the Color Throwdown challenge. After I had published my post and linked to all the challenges I realized I hadn't linked to the one I was originally going to! I thought no big deal, I'll just create a new card since I still had some time.

I had a whole list of challenges to link to and you can only link so many to some of the challenges. Some are unlimited. I tend to try to only link to one or up to three per card. If I had unlimited crafting time I would create one card per challenge, but I don't always have that kind of time unfortunately.

I used a Prima stencil with my Clarity brushes and some Distress Oxide ink to craft my background. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink heat embossed clear embossing powder. All supplies are listed below.

I've linked my card to the three challenges above. Please take time to check them out. There are some beautiful cards on each blog that their design teams have created.

Hello Friend

Supplies:
Distress Oxide Inks: twisted citron, fossilized amber, candied apple
Prima: Flourish Stencil
Our Daily Bread Designs: double stitched rectangles
Plus 9: Hand Lettered Hello stamp set

Thankful For Your Friendship

Thankful

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend. I know I am! Last week I made a list of upcoming challenges that I want to participate in. Since then I've slowing been creating cards and deciding which ones I'll finish in time to link up to. I don't think I will get enough cards made to play along with all of them, but nonetheless I enjoy trying to!

I used distress oxide inks over a Hero Arts stencil using my Clarity stencil brushes. I love them and wish I had a few more! They blend ink so effortlessly. I've linked my card to the four challenges below. Be sure to check them out. Their design teams have created some gorgeous cards for all the challenges.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Craft Stamper Magazine Challenge: Anything Goes

Life's A Journey

My card today is for the Anything Goes challenge over on the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog. While I love sketch and color challenges, anything goes challenges rate pretty high with me. Sometimes I never know what direction I'm going in or what I'm doing until my project is almost finished.

I had the random rectangle of card stock that I had die cut while working on another card and not wanting to waste it, I started inking and adding different stenciled bits to it. That's how this card evolved.

Life's A Journey

I used five different stencils on my panel. Four from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous and one from TCW. Three Distress Oxide inks were blended together on my card panel. I used black to highlight. I took the extra ink left on my craft mat and splattered it onto the card base. All product names are listed below.

Life's A Journey

After die cutting my bicycle image and stamping the sentiment, I added foam tape to my panel before adding the panel to my card to give it some dimension.

Supplies:
Cardstock
Stamp - Unity Stamp Co - For The Guys
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Distress Oxide Ink: peacock feathers, fozzilized amber, black soot, seedless preserves
Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Stencils: Dot Fade, Latticwork, Gothic, Burlap
TCW Stencil: Mini Well Rounded

Your Face Makes Me Smile

Your Face....

I created this card for the Design Team Call over at Kat Scrappiness. In order to enter you had to create a new project. I like to combine cards I create with a few other challenges if I find something that is interesting me. Most of the time I just do one or two challenges at a time with one blog post. Today's card is also linked to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Splatter It. The challenge also uses Ranger products and of course splatter on your card. I'm also linking my card to the Simon Says Flickr group challenge.

For my Ranger product I used Distress Oxide Inks. Five inks were used. My card base was splattered with peacock feathers and spiced marmalade. Splattering is messy and so much fun! For my card panel I used three inks - frayed burlap, vintage photo and antique linen.

Your Face....

The die I used is the Sizzix Tim Holtz wildflowers. I splattered it with peacock feathers and spiced marmalade. Foam tape was added so that my card panel is popped up. The splatters peek from behind the Sizzix Tim Holtz mixed media die cut that I used on my card panel. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp called Choose Happy. The bling I used is called sparkling clear droplets from Kat Scrappiness. All products are listed below.

Your Face....

I just love these clear droplets! They are my new favorite embellishment!

Supplies:
Cardstock

Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Distress Oxide Ink: spiced marmalade, antique linen, vintage photo, frayed burlap, peacock feathers

Thinking of You

Thinking of You

My card today is for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge: Sketch 222. The sketch is shown below.

I've had this stamp set with matching die set from Avery Elle for quite some time and have never used it. I think it's retired or retiring, but is still available at some online stores. When I saw this sketch, it just clicked that I wanted to use it for my card. I just did a very subtle stenciled band behind my sentiment.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge blog is looking for design team members. I'm entering this card in their design team call.

Products used listed below.

Supplies:
Cardstock
Stamp - Avery Elle - Laurels
Die - Avery Elle - Laurels
Versafine Onyx Black Ink

You Brighten My Day

You Brighten My Day

Here's my take on the sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches 298 Challenge. I'm also linking up to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

I love sketch challenges! It's even better when I look at a sketch and know exactly what I want to do. Anything Goes challenges are my favorite too! I love being able to just do my own thing.

I did die cut my "you" three times and adhered it together for more dimension. The rest of sentiment was stamped and heat embossed. I used a stencil for my diagonal strip. Supplies are listed below.

Be sure to take time to check out the beautiful cards on both challenge blogs by clicking the links below. Their design teams do some gorgeous work!

My card today is for the CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #232.

I've made some clean and simple (CAS) cards, but never, ever have I made a card that it this clean and simple! It was so super simple and fast! It's a great sketch. I can think of tons of stamps that I could use with it. Distress Oxide ink was used to stamp the coffee cup. That ink is so creamy, I love stamping with it. This stamp is so hilarious because it's such a true statement! I feel like this every.day.of.my.life......   Love Funny Bones stamps! Supplies are listed below.
