Baby Card: Bundle Of Joy

Thought I'd share a baby card I made using Graphic 45's Little Darling's collection. This was actually a card I made for the Unscripted Design team sketch his week. My photo was loaded into the designer's forum, but somehow has gone missing. Because of that my card wasn't included on the blog this week. If you want to see sketch for the week that I followed, you can see it here.

Last week for sketch #243 I also made a baby card but it was more geared for a girl. This one is more of a boy card. All products used for this card are from Graphic 45. The base card is from PTI. I also used a small piece of ribbon.

Unscripted Sketches #243

I haven't had a lot of crafting time lately so I got this card done for the Unscripted Design Team just in the nick of time! I've also been struggling with just getting myself organized and getting the creative juices flowing. I've joined a few more monthly swaps in the hopes that it will help me get out of the funk that I'm in.

For this card I used Graphic 45's Little Darlings collection. It's one of my favorites! I used one of the chipboard pieces and cut out several of the images from different sheets of the card stock. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.

Hope you'll join us this week with your take on the sketch above. All the details are on the blog post over at Unscripted Sketches! You don't have to have a blog in order to play. If you load your creations to a gallery, just add the direct link to your project and be sure to give credit for the sketch to Unscripted Sketches. That's it!

Products Used:
Base Cardstock - PTI in Lemon Tart
Patterned Paper - Graphic 45 Little Darlings
Ink - Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Seam Binding
Gems: My Mind's Eye, Doodlebug Design and Mark Richards
Butterflies: Martha Stewart punch

Baby Cards + 40% Off Coupon Code

I just found this draft post for some cards I created for a custom order. I had a few things going on and didn't realize I hadn't blogged about them. These were the final cards I made for that order. In all I made four of each: Sympathy, Wedding, Bridal Shower and Baby. For the Baby cards I made two neutral, one girl and one boy card. For the card above I hand cut the onsie. The patterned paper used is from Doodlebug Design.

I think this boy card turned out cute! I embossed the giraffe using white embossing powder. This paper is also from Doodlebug Design.

The stroller image above is from a stamp set by Karen Foster. The sentiment on the card above and below are from a Fiskars stamp set.

I used the Sizzix Framelits die for the die cut above. I've long since put all the supplies I used for these cards away and I don't remember what stamp set the sentiment below is from.

I did make a few extra baby cards and I added them to my Etsy store. If you're looking for cards I have quite a few listed. If you'd like to check them out here's the link to my store. You can use this coupon code BLOG40 at check out and receive 40% off your total order! This coupon code is valid until midnight Sunday, July 8, 2012. I'm working on new stuff I'll be adding in the next month so keep checking back.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a great start to your week!

Baby Cards

Today I'm going to share three baby cards. Last year my friend Cheyenne asked for some graduation cards. I feel fortunate that this year she requested even more! Thankfully she wasn't in a hurry and didn't need them until July. They made it in the mail the other day, so I'm right on time! The order also included some wedding, sympathy and more graduation cards which I'll share in the next few days. After that I'll post a Christmas card order I'm just finishing up for my very patient sister-in-law.

The first card is a onsie.
Welcome Baby
When I was first asked about baby cards, I wondered what I would use. I don't use digital diecuts and I have a limited supply of baby products. I really couldn't find alot of baby paper that I was very thrilled with either. I even looked for baby paper while I was in the Cities and while on vacation and still came up empty handed. After some research, I'm very pleased with how all three of my cards turned out! For this onsie, I used a square of cardstock and my circle punch.
Congratulations - Baby
Nestabilities and a circle punch formed the bib on this card. All three baby cards were to be non-gender. That made it even easier.
Sweet Baby
Again I used nestabilities for the baby carriage. I think this one is so cute! For my handle, I cut apart a shimmer chipboard flourish from Making Memories.

Products used for all cards include: PTI Cardstock, Bazzill Cardstock, Basic Glitter Paper from Best Creation Inc, Stamps from Studio G i-Clear, Penny Black (inside sentiment) and Hero Arts, Patterned Paper from Little Yellow Bicycle - Sweet Summertime - Summer Garden & Babysaurus - Big Dino Dots, Buttons, Ric Rac, Ribbon, Brads, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensional Stickers from EK Success, Open Scallop Edge Punch from EK Success, Nestabilities, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers.
