Unscripted Sketches #236

This is probably the Christmas card I like the most that I created this season. Pairing black with red and white are high up on my list of favorite combinations. I like unconventional colors for holiday cards.

Great versatile sketch to use for any occasion!

I really like this patterned paper from Heidi Swapp! Here's a tutorial that I came across for the bow I made.

Please join us this week with your take on the sketch above. All the details are on the blog post over at Unscripted Sketches! You don't have to have a blog in order to play. If you load your creations to a gallery, just add the direct link to your project and be sure to give credit for the sketch to Unscripted Sketches. That's it!

Six Super Easy Cards!

I'm very far behind in my card making this season! Today I made 12 Christmas cards, two of each design that you see here on my blog. Prior to that I think I had only made six Christmas cards so far. Compare that to the last several years and I am waayyyyy behind.

I knew when I started working on cards today that I wanted to make some super easy ones. I pulled out the DCWV Botanica Noel paper pad and got to work. There are two sheets of sentiments and images so I decided to use some of them rather than stamping.

I dressed the cards up with some silver and pearl gems and some dot sparklers from Stampendous. I also added a little ink around the edges and added some foam dots for some dimension.

Super easy way to get some cards made very quickly! I'm hoping to work on some more this evening because I still need a few more homemade cards to send out.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS - Colours and Sketches Blog: Challenge #51

I love sketches and I love challenges! I'm getting back into card making and I've been searching for sketch challenges to participate in. This sketch is from CAS - Colours and Sketches Blog

For my card I used patterned paper from the Botanica Noel stack from Recollections. I used the open scallop EK Success edge punch and sequins. The base card and the pure poppy cardstock are from PTI. My sentiment was stamped using the Hero Arts Very Merry Christmas set CL 543.

Loved this sketch! I'm glad I played along this week over at CAS! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Wishing You A Most Joyous Christmas!

Yesterday I had some time to play around with one of my new stamp and die sets from Sweet 'n Sassy. It's called Ornament Dies: Set of 4 and it coordinates with the Vintage Ornaments and Mod Ornaments stamp set. I think I have the Vintage Ornaments set.

I used patterned paper from Recollections called Botanica Noel and PTI. The stamped snowflake is from the Hero Arts stamp set called Tree-mendous CL465. The gold cord and ribbon I found in my stash. I'm pretty sure the ribbon is from May Arts. I added some gold embossing powder and some pearl gems to the centers.
