Art Soul Life

 

I was able to finish another card last night. My weekend was pretty productive for card making. Nothing else got done, but that's okay! 

This card was created using a cling stamp from Deep Red called Art Soul Life. The sentiment was stamped using versamark ink onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. It looks like I used white embossing powder but actually I used clear embossing powder. These three Tim Holtz Distress Inks were used for the background: ripe persimmon, salty ocean and mowed lawn. I spritzed water onto the paper with a paint brush to create the splotches of water. I really like the look of this and I love this stamp!

Thank You Very Much!

Another card using Golden Light Molding Paste. I'm really happy with how this card turned out. It makes me want to go out and buy some more stencils. I really love working with them!

For this card I used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Broken China to color the molding paste. The stencil design is by Heidi Swapp. I used a Hero Arts stamp from the Thanks A Bunch Set (CL663) along with the Broken China distress ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The white base is from PaperTrey Ink and the island blue cardstock is from Simon Says Stamp. The bling is by My Mind's Eye.

I haven't had much crafting time this week after work. I've just felt tired and cold and haven't felt like crafting. What I don't like is when I get all these ideas going through my head as I'm having coffee before I have to leave for work and can't act on any of them. Hopefully I'll still have all this enthusiasm this evening so I can try some of my ideas out!

Blue Butterfly - Thanks A Bunch

 

This was a fun card to create! No challenge for this one as this is another card for a card order I'm working on. 

The butterfly adds so much texture! I used two different stencils for this background. I used Mini Chickenwire reversed from The Crafter's Workshop on the background and a butterfly from Heidi Swapp. There is a combination of the stencil and some distress ink splattered on watercolor cardstock. 

For the butterfly I mixed some Golden Light Molding Paste with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in broken china. The bling is from My Mind's Eye. For the sentiment I used a stamp from the Hero Arts set called Thanks A Bunch CL663.

Retrosketches Challenge #146

Hope everyone had a great New Years! Mine was very lazy. I worked on a few cards for some challenges that I want to participate in and that's about it. 

For this card I used PaperTrey Ink cardstock as my base in white. The colored cardstock and the patterned paper are by Core'dinations called Carnival and Brights. I also used DCWV's Burlap Stack. My leaf image is from a stamp set by Hero Arts called Delicate Leaf Clusters. I cut down a piece of distress watercolor cardstock from Tim Holtz and using the Tim Holtz waterbrush I painted on three different Tim Holtz Distress Stains. The colors I used are broken china, picked raspberry and salty ocean. The sentiment is also from Hero Arts called Thanks A Bunch. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye. I loved this versatile sketch and know that I will use it over and over.
