Gaal Creative July Challenge: Animals!

I made this fun mini-book for the challenge going on until July 19th over at Gaal Creative. The winner will have a $30 donation in their name donated to A Place To Bark. What a fantastic organization, if you get the chance check it out.

This paper bag book was relatively inexpensive to make considering I used all the products from my stash. Oh....I did buy a pack of paper bags at the Dollar Store for you guessed it.... $1. I love all the extra flaps and the fact that there are pockets on every page. I glued my pockets together since I didn't plan on putting anything in them. I still have room to add a few extra pictures if I choose to, but for the most part it's finished.

Calvin is the gray and white cat. He's no longer with us and was the most photogenic of all the cats. He always posed for pictures!

The black and white cat is Oscar. He's a sweet cat, but a little of Oscar goes alooong way! This cat took to me from the day we brought him home and he's constantly glued to my hip.

Carmel (a.k.a Baby Girl) is the calico. This cat has an attitude! Even the dog is afraid of her. She's very sweet by nature and always wants to sit on your lap. She never liked me until all the kids moved out.....now she thinks she's my best friend.

After completing the book, I do have a new appreciation for stickers. I've never been a fan of stickers and don't use them very often. I have a ton of them! When I first got into scrapbooking I bought them whenever I saw them. They sure came in handy in making this book.

I really enjoyed making this project and now I'm all fired up to make a book for my dog. Since we're moving in a few weeks, I'll have to try to complete it before I pack up my scrapbook room.

Products Used:
Paper Bags, Chipboard, Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper By Autumn Leaves, Stickers From Various Manufacturers, Ribbon, Gesso, Making Memories Acrylic Paint, Challenge from Gaal Creative.

Thanks for stopping by!

Patty, this is wonderful! I've never made a paperbag album, wow, it's great :) I just love 'Baby Girl', what a sweet face.

You're moving, again!? Oh no, that's just too many times in such a short time :(

Hi, Patty! This is truly STUNNING! Such a wonderful book! Your cat Oscar must be one of our cat Melody's long lost cousins. I love tuxedo cats! Calvin and Carmel look like sweeties, too! And I love the quote on the front of your book! You were so inspired! Thanks so much for sharing your paper bag book and for participating in my challenge! :-)

Thanks for all the nice comments lately... life is a bit hectic these for me. I wish I could lounge like your kitties. Great little book of furry friends.

This is wonderful! I have a 8x8 scrapbook of each of my pets that have passed on. Have taken tons of photos of the ones I still have dreading the day when they are no longer here. Tinker is 18 now and buddy 14.
