Blissful Mini Album

Blissful Mini Album
Well, I finished another one of the projects from Scrapfest! Five left to go! This little mini album is called Blissful Mini Album and the vendor was Authentique. I absolutely adore this paper!

We were able to get the main structure of the album created in class like the pages and the binding, but the rest had to be finished at home. Forty-five minutes is not enough time to complete the project.

I'm actually happy that I was able to go through my stash of supplies to finish the book. My creation is based loosely on the instructions we were sent home with. I was able to "make it my own".

I made a flower for the cover using crepe paper in black and yellow. I then added a mini rose in the center from My Moments. The trinket pin is from Maya Road. I added some gems from Hero Arts.

There are 10 pages in this book. For the flower on the left I used a punch from Paper Shapers and a smaller flower punch I have. I used a gold brad in the center. On the right I used a charm pin up brad from Karen Foster and tied a bow with some seam binding. The butterfly was punched out using a Martha Stewart punch.

I used paper lace under the sentiment on the left page and Hero Arts gems on both pages. All the photo mats were cut using Sizzix Framelits scalloped squares.

I just used some scrap cardstock I had laying around for all the mats. I ran the flower on the left through my crimper.

All the sentiments and images were diecuts that came in the kit with all the beautiful papers. I used Hero Arts flowers on the left page and added some vintage buttons. One of the neat things about Authentique is that there is a quote on the bottom of their cardstock. I used the quote above from Leo Tolstoy on my page.

I used my EK Success binding edge punch on a scrap for the page on the right. I also used some Tim Holtz trim below the photo mat and added some Hero Arts gems.

I'm so glad I took this class! I did load a video to YouTube if you'd like to check it out.
