Floral Notecards

I am lucky enough to have a sister-in-law who's forgotten more about flowers than I will ever know in my life. In fact, though I love flowers, I'm a confessed "garden assassin". I always start off with good intentions, but there are only a few things I'm able to keep alive - hostas, daylillies, and asiatic lillies! Maybe that's why I'm so obsessed with making flowers and using them on my cards and layouts. At least I know I can't kill paper.

I asked my sister-in-law for some pictures so I could make some notecards. She literally has "thousands" of photos, so I'll never have to look anywhere else or attempt to take pictures of flowers that I might pathetically attempt to grow.

I bought a piece of acetate awhile ago with no idea what I was going to do with it. Well, it worked perfectly for these pictures. While the photos may look blurry, it's the effect of the acetate and that I have matted them with Bazzill cardstock. I absolutely love the effect and will be using it alot in the future.

I do have two favorites out of the four cards - (the first two) the pink flower and the purple and white one. See...I don't even know what kind they are!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Patty! Wonderful notecards! The flowers are beautiful! And I bet they are even more so in real life with the acetate over top! :-)
