Unscripted Sketches #238

I haven't had a lot of time to craft this week and I'm not sure why. That being said, I just got my card finished for the Unscripted Sketches DT by the skin of my teeth!

This is the first sketch for the new year! I picked up this new stamp set from Hero Arts a few weeks ago at Archiver's. I've been trying to add birthday stamps to my stamp collection. I seem to have more Christmas, Sympathy and Thank You stamps than any other kind. Those of my favorite cards to make, so that's why!

If you're familiar with Archiver's I'm sure you were just as heartbroken as I am (and many others!) when you heard the news that they're closing. I'm really going to miss that store and all the inspiration they provided. There's nothing else out there like them. So many women looked forward to their annual event called Scrapfest each September. We need something to replace that now. I'll be back to exclusively online shopping again as there's nothing in the area that really compares to the products that they carry. The big box stores just don't cut it when it comes to most quality products from the scrapbook manufacturer's. I was so happy when I moved back to Minnesota after living in Wisconsin because I was back where I could actually find items I use locally. When I was in Wisconsin I bought most everything online. I didn't even have a big box store close by without driving 70 miles. Sorry for the rant, but I'm really going to miss them!

Thanks for stopping by this week! Please join us with your take on the sketch above. All the details are on the blog post over at Unscripted Sketches! You don't have to have a blog in order to play. If you load your creations to a gallery, just add the direct link to your project and be sure to give credit for the sketch to Unscripted Sketches. That's all there is to it!
