I love making mini albums!
Once again I used the Raining Cats & Dogs collection from Graphic 45. This is an older collection that I've had for awhile. I created two books that you can see here and here. This latest book is made from all the scraps that were left over. I thought I'd have enough to make at least two smaller books, but that's the not case. To make all three books I used a 12x12, 8x8 and 6x6 paper pad and embellishments from the collection. Since I still have quite a few embellishments left, I might try to find another 8x8 paper pad so that I can make a cat album the same size. I have a few sheets of 12x12 paper left and tons of scraps. I can probably use them for making cards.
I left the cover (above) very simple. I used one of the cut-aparts mounted on black cardstock that I hot glued to the front. I knew this would be a small book. Once I decided on how large the covers were going to be that helped me to determine the size of the binding, pages and spine. This book is four inches wide by five inches in height. There's a lot of room for photos in this little book.
On the spine (below) I used one of the chipboard pieces. I also used Ranger Sticky Back Canvas on the spine.
On the back I used one of the stickers from the collection.
There are six pages. Each page has a pull out mat on the side.
On the inside front and back cover I added a diagonal pocket and a few photo mats along with some cut-aparts from the collection.
I added pieces from collection throughout the book. I only partially adhered them so a photo can be tucked behind them.
This page flips up for more space for photos.
I added one of the pockets and tags from the collection to this page that flips open.
This page has a belly band with photo mats tucked behind it. I took one of the cut-parts and mounted it onto chipboard and added it at the bottom to help keep the mats in place.
I love the colors in this collection.
That's it. It turned out nice and chunky. There's still plenty of room to add more items that are dimensional. I made the gussets a little bigger just for that reason.
Thanks for stopping by!
