<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48706573988/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Life Doesn't Have To Be Perfect"><img alt="Life Doesn't Have To Be Perfect" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48706573988_3e97fbe67b_z.jpg" width="558" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finally had time to take photos of the recent cards I created!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was working on them before I went on a road trip over Labor Day to Kentucky to visit family. I just didn't get a chance to photo and blog them.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm happy to be back in the North where we don't have the humidity that they have in the South. It just about kills me, I hate it! I know we have humidity here in Minnesota, but nothing like they have there. Normally when we visit we either go in May, June or July when it's even worse. We had one day that we could tolerate and that was the first day we were there! Anyway, it was nice to see family.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Moving on.....my first card the background was created blending distress oxide inks - fired brick, worn lipstick and fossilized amber. I then spritzed the background with water to get the droplets where the water reacted. The leaves are from a die called Outline Clustered Leaves from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from a stamp set by Reversed Confetti called The Most Beauty.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48706573188/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Bold Color"><img alt="Bold Color" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48706573188_0f5e1a524d_z.jpg" width="521" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the card above and below I used a stencil called Wonky Grid from Altenew. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used Brusho Crystal Colours (which are similar to Ken Oliver's Color Burst). I used the colors gamboge, turquoise and cobalt blue. I laid my stencil down then sprinkled the power over the stencil and spritzed watered over it. I set a stamp block on top for a few minutes then lifted it. I cut the panel in two for two cards. The stamp used on the top card is called Bold Colour by Visibile Image. The sentiment used on the bottom card is from Simon Says Stamp called Handlettered Encouragement.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48706571718/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Feel Better"><img alt="Feel Better" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48706571718_b0186c726a_z.jpg" width="552" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48707074442/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Make Me Laugh"><img alt="Make Me Laugh" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48707074442_775758a728_z.jpg" width="598" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the card about and below I used a stencil from Altenew called Ombre Stripes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I applied distress oxide inks over the stencil on both. The colors used for the top card are cracked pistachio, salty ocean and blueprint sketch. For the card below I used blueprint sketch, hickory smoke and wilted violet. After I blended the inks I spritzed both cards with water to get the inks to react. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The top card uses a sentiment from Visible Image called So Much Stronger. The card below uses a stamp for Gina K Designs called Lettered and Lovely. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48706905151/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Thank You"><img alt="Thank You" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48706905151_5805f447ff_z.jpg" width="562" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48706571098/in/dateposted-friend/" title="You Make Me Laugh"><img alt="You Make Me Laugh" height="640" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48706571098_cbb6774871_z.jpg" width="498" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my last card I used a stencil from Gina K Designs that I applied distress oxide ink through. The colors I used are fossilized amber, ripe persimmon and candied apple. I die cut my panel using a die called double stitched rectangles from Our Daily Bread (they've changed their name to Divinity Designs LLC now). The sentiment is from Gina K Stamps called Lettered and Lovely.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48707071957/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_3668"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_3668" height="472" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48707071957_28032278c6_z.jpg" width="640" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I am working my way through the pile above. I'm basically just deciding what sentiments to use on them. I may decide at last minute to add stenciling, embossing paste or die cut into flowers......the possibilities are endless...... I'm trying to keep the pretty clean and simple.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've been working on the details for a crop I'm hosting the end of October/beginning of November. This will be our second year going to this particular retreat. It's always so fun to get together with others for three nights. I never get anything done, but that's okay! I hope we keep going year after year. The place is always booked so you reserve it a year in advance. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This year I'm going to be doing a very casual card class. So, I'm thinking of ideas so that I can make a few sample cards for them look at. We'll be doing watercolor, stencils, paste etc so all cards will turn out different. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We also have one of the ladies doing a Chalk Couture class, so that will be fun. I took her class back in April and loved it!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm back again with another card for three different card challenges!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm adding this card to the No Patterned Paper challenge for <a href="http://dragonflydreamschallenges.blogspot.com/2019/08/no-patterned-paper.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Dragonfly Dreams</span></a>, the Anything Goes challenge for <a href="http://blog.dare2bartzy.com/august-challenge-anything-goes/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Dare 2B Artzy</span></a> and I'm going to add a second card to <a href="http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/08/the-flower-challenge-35-use-your.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">The Flower Challenge</span></a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my background I used four distress oxide inks. I used evergreen bough, hickory smoke, mermaid lagoon and blueprint sketch. I added the ink to my Tim Holtz glass mat and spritzed water over the ink. I took my alcohol ink cardstock and kept swiping into the ink. I used my heat tool to dry in between layers and proceeded until I was happy with the background. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After the background was dry, I used the Wacky Boxes stencil from Dare 2B Artzy randomly on the background with hickory smoke distress ink. I splattered evergreen bough and blueprint sketch inks over the background with a paint brush. Once I made sure the ink was dry, I went over the background with Distress Micro Glaze. Because I had used oxide inks on alcohol ink cardstock the background looked a little milky. Using the Distress Micro Glaze makes the color more vibrant. It also seals the background. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The flower is from the Sizzix Tim Holtz Wildflowers dies. To color the flower I used distress ink in these colors: crushed olive, peeled paint, mustard seed, worn lipstick and barn door. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The sentiment is from Picket Fence called It's Going To Be Okay. I stamped it using my MISTI with Ranger archival ink in black soot. Instead of using a white card base like I normally do, I used a base from Papertrey Ink called new leaf. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hello and happy Monday! Is there such a thing as happy Monday?! I didn't used to think so. Now that I don't have to get up and head to work, I believe there is!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I haven't posted anything on my blog for about a month. That's because I really haven't created anything. I'm never not doing something in my craft room, I just either haven't finished a project or I'm putzing around with something. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've been in sort of a creative slump lately though. I always know what I want to do, it's just getting it done. I'm also guilty of having too many projects going on at once, which is what I have going on right now. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I always sift through the emails that I get for card challenges. I love card challenges so much! Over the weekend one caught my eye for The Paper Players. This one is a color challenge. You are to use black, white and one other color. Well, I knew right away that I would be doing this challenge because it's a no brainer for me. These are the kind of challenges I like. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
While I was at it, I looked to see if there were any other challenges I could submit my card to. I found that I would be able to add my card to The Flower Challenge. Flowers have to be the main focal point and my card fits the mold for that one. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my card I used an older Tim Holtz embossing folder from Sizzix for the background. I don't know what the name of this folder is as I don't have the packaging and I neglected to write the name on the folder. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've been die cutting tons of Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlets Wildflowers #1 and #2 and watercoloring them for use in future projects. I decided that Rusty Hinge Distress Ink would be the color that I would go with for this challenge. I love the color rust. I just watercolored a sheet of watercolor paper, let it dry naturally and die cut the wildflowers. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my sentiment I used a sticker from the Small Talk sticker book from Tim Holtz Idea-Ology. I diecut a banner using the Simple Strips Banner Die from Taylored Expressions. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My card is linked to the two challenges below.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245589457/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_34a1"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_34a1" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245589457_6d135028dd.jpg" width="389" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
About a week ago I picked up two fifty cent notebooks with the intention of altering the covers. This past Sunday I saw a blog post from <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/botanical-notes-altered-notebook/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Simon Says Stamp</span></a> that showed an altered notebook and that's all it took for me to be inspired to try one! I went through my stash and picked things out to use. I was so inspired that I made two!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I flippin' love how both turned out! I haven't done anything to the back covers or the inside front and back covers. I'm not sure yet if I plan to or not. If I do I'll just cover them with patterned paper from one of my Tim Holtz papers. If I was giving them away I would, but if I'm going to use them I don't really need to. When the paper's gone I just have more art for my craft room!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245502756/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_349b"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_349b" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245502756_8bb5746c45.jpg" width="379" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've posted photos below of my progress along the way creating both of these notebooks. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It takes awhile with all the drying time. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245510606/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_3485"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_3485" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245510606_e6a0c5ff20.jpg" width="339" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added gesso to both covers. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245596687/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_3487"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_3487" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245596687_6f6e3c61a3.jpg" width="398" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I went through my stash and added patterned paper, dictionary paper and ephemera using distress collage medium.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245595022/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_348f"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_348f" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245595022_4a9b7ee293.jpg" width="378" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After the collage medium dried, I added some white paint. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48245594017/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_3493"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_3493" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48245594017_6bc471c3a6.jpg" width="394" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After the paint dried, I used stencils to add distress grit-paste. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

When all was dry, I added several different acrylic paint colors. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I spritzed a lot of water to move the paint around and dried in between the colors. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For the second notebook, I added gesso first and then die cut some leaves using a die from Simon Says Stamp and added acrylic paint. After the paint dried, I added the leaves using collage medium. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I thought I had lost the dictionary pictured above! I would have been so sad if I hadn't been able to find it! I use dictionary paper for a lot of projects.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
I cleaned my craft room a few months ago and put things where I thought they should go. Three times now I have been looking for a particular item and haven't been able to find them. When I clean I purge a lot and I'm always thinking I've gotten rid of something that I want to use. Thankfully, I have had to rip my room apart on several occasions but I have found the items that I've been looking for!</div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48217312717/in/dateposted-friend/" title="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48217312717_6b199ae91c.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is the second canvas I was working on yesterday. This morning the molding paste has dried and I was able to add items to the canvas and finish it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do with this one. Just like the <a href="https://patitudes.blogspot.com/2019/07/find-joy-mixed-media-canvas.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">canvas</span></a> I posted about yesterday, I don't remember the colors of ink that I used for the background. I had created this over a year ago and just set it aside. I do love all the different colors in the background on this one. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I added Golden Light Molding Paste in three different places using the gradient hex Tim Holtz layering stencil. I love how when it's wet it picks up the color of ink on the canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48217266446/in/dateposted-friend/" title="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48217266446_c7c3b167f5.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finally settled on just doing a random collage of ephemera. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Most of the items I used are from my Tim Holtz stash of items with the exception of a few items.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The ace of clubs card, hand, piece of ruler, circle with the N7 and the stamp are from an ephemera packet I've had in my collection for a few years. The small metal frame is the last one I had left and it's by Momenta. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48217310747/in/dateposted-friend/" title="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48217310747_2d54be1304.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I cut apart two of the Tim Holtz Quote Chips sentiments and adhered all items with Distress Collage Matte Medium. A few of the items I used Glossy Accents. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48217264696/in/dateposted-friend/" title="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas" height="394" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48217264696_f86729f9ec.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For some reason I thought both of these quotes fit with all of the collaged items. You just have to see that there is possibility everywhere for everything and you have to believe in yourself. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the variation in color where I used the molding paste with the stencil!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48217263556/in/dateposted-friend/" title="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="See Possibility Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48217263556_1d17c94edf.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script></div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48209386241/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas" height="389" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48209386241_6c6c4d6bfb.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right from the start I'm going to mention that I'm not a huge pink and purple fan. I have nothing against the two colors, they just aren't ones that I'm drawn to naturally. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The background on this canvas was made probably well over a year ago. I've had this canvas and another one just waiting to have something done with them. At the time I was playing around with distress inks (I don't remember what the colors are that I used) and they turned out a little different than I expected. I just set them both aside knowing that someday I would get back to them and create something. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used a stencil called mini bricks by The Crafters Workshop with some Golden light molding paste on both corners of this canvas. The paste picked up the color on the canvas. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I stamped randomly around the canvas with a Tim Holtz stamp. I don't have the name of the stamp as I don't have the packaging anymore. I then splattered black soot Distress ink over the canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48209385316/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas" height="272" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48209385316_53f787df2b.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48209444267/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48209444267_f46e0e3255.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flowers are from Little Birdie. I believe I picked them up at Tuesday Morning. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The metal frame I've had in my stash for awhile. It's from Momenta.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Tim Holtz Quote Chips for the sentiments. I cut two sentiments apart. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The photo is from an ephemera packet that I picked up back in 2013 when I went to a show called Junk Bonanza that is held twice a year here is the Twin Cities area. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48209382896/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48209382896_b9a03456c6.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I thought the quote fit the photo. The two women look like friends having a good time!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48209383846/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Find Joy Mixed Media Canvas" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48209383846_ca3faefe54.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now I have one more project off my list! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have another canvas that is almost finished. I have everything ready to go to finalize it, but I have to wait for the molding paste to dry. I will share it once I'm done with it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love Americana decor. I love flags or anything with a flag.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
At one point I had quite a few pieces. We had a four-season porch and I had all of my decor on the walls. When I had to down-size after my husband passed away I just kept a minimal amount. I knew I'd never have the room for it wherever I would move to. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This small mixed media canvas will find a home in my craft room.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48202224947/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Home Of The Brave Mixed Media Canvas"><img alt="Home Of The Brave Mixed Media Canvas" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48202224947_663d9da7b2.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I actually bought all the products for this canvas two years ago! When I saw this project on Tim's blog I knew I wanted to make one. Here's a link the Tim's original blog <a href="https://timholtz.com/home-of-the-brave/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">post</span></a>. He has a tutorial on his blog and he lists all the products that you will need for this project. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have so many projects that I want to work on or finish. I now have the time to do that!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48182848296/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Mini Junk Journal"><img alt="Mini Junk Journal" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48182848296_3545ffc885.jpg" width="394" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been collecting ephemera for making junk journals for years.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I lived in Wisconsin I used to wander around the Antique stores looking for anything that could be used in a junk journal, even though I hadn't really started making them yet. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In 2012 when I was visiting relatives in Kentucky we went to the <a href="http://www.halfwaymarket.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Milton Flea Market</span></a> in Milton, West Virginia. We had first gone there in 2007 and loved it! I picked up quite a few old books that I've kept stashed away in my craft room. I take pages out of the books every now and then to use in projects. My plan is to take all the pages out of each book and makes signatures to add inside and then embellish the books. I'm going to be visiting that Flea Market very soon!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I moved back to Minnesota after my husband passed away in 2013, I went to <a href="https://junkbonanza.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Junk Bonanza</span></a>. I found a dealer that was selling ephemera packs. I was thrilled! I picked up five of them. They've been sitting in a drawer patiently waiting to be used in junk journals.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've also been collecting ephemera from Tim Holtz and I've got some in my stash from 7Gypsies. Actually I collect anything that looks like it will fit in my idea of what should go in a junk journal. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I started this book about a week and a half ago. I took a break from crafting for a few days and just finished it last night. For this little junk journal I used the <span style="color: blue;"><a href="https://www.sizzix.com/660331/sizzix-scoreboards-xl-die-book-passport" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Sizzix Scoreboards XL</span></a> </span>die by Eileen Hull called Passport Book. I have two other journal dies by Eileen that I'll be using soon. I've had these dies for awhile because I've been collecting! I did buy some <a href="https://www.sizzix.com/656491/sizzix-making-essential-mat-board-6-x-13-cream-6-sheets" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Sizzix Little Sizzles Mat Board</span></a>, but for this project I just used chipboard. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used the Engraver collection by Prima for this book. I have all the embellishments for the collection but I only have the 6x6 paper pad which means whatever I create has to be a small project. I didn't use much for this book so I have plenty of paper left to use. This collection has been retired but can easily be interchangeable with paper from Tim Holtz. You can tell I've had it for awhile since it's retired!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my cover I used embellishments from the Prima collection and filled in with a quote chip from Tim Holtz, some steampunk buttons (not sure where they came from), and a key that I have a small bag filled full of. Inside the decorative frame, I used some of the package backing. I just cut out the part I wanted and adhered it to the back. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48182912827/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Mini Junk Journal"><img alt="Mini Junk Journal" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48182912827_72bd2d8264.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The charm on the spine of the book is one of the Vintage Trinkets from Prima.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The brown seam binding I used for the closure and on the spine came out of one of the ephemera packs I have. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48182912067/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Mini Junk Journal"><img alt="Mini Junk Journal" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48182912067_b5279ef710.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48182911042/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Mini Junk Journal"><img alt="Mini Junk Journal" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48182911042_1115121d98.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are three signatures inside this book. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Inside each signature there are pages that I have covered with patterned paper and I've added papers from some of the ephemera packs. I've also added deli paper. Not all the pages have patterned paper added. I've added a pocked here and there using mini paper bags. I've stapled a few items to some of the pages. It's really pretty random. I also used some Tim Holtz washi tape to adhere some tickets to the pages. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used several layering stencils from the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holz collection throughout the book with Ranger vintage photo distress ink. I also inked all the edges with this ink. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The signatures were attached using round electric cord. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used several clear and rubber stamp sets that I have in my stash from Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz. I stamped on several of the pages and on the covers of each of the signatures. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Because I couldn't get the pages to lay flat for photos, below I have added a few so that you have an idea of what the inside looks like. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love little junkie books so much! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you're wondering what you would use these for, they can be used to add photos & journaling. You could also add bits and pieces of memorabilia. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have another one that I'm working on, but I haven't decided what I'm going to use for a closure so I've just set it aside for now. I've got about eight projects going on right now! I know that would make some people crazy, but I get bored or my creative process stops and it seems like if I have something else to work on it helps me when I go back to another project. I'm also in the process cutting all the cardstock for two gatefold books. I always get everything done! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What I'm really enjoying is that I have TIME to finally do things that I enjoy and that's all that matters to me!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another winning tutorial from France Long over at <a href="https://yourbookofmemories.uscreen.io/programs/folio-mini-album-bundle" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Your Book Of Memories</span></a>!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used the Oh Happy Day! collection by Simple Stories for this folio. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This paper collection is so bright and cheerful, I love it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the cover I used some of the chipboard pieces and one of the cut-parts. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063940116/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063940116_c61b951a4e.jpg" width="377" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the back cover I used another cut-apart from the collection and some of the chipboard hearts. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48064043242/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48064043242_ecb3e4bd0a.jpg" width="471" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my tie closure, I took some white seam binding and dyed it with some evergreen bough distress ink from Tim Holtz. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063989598/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063989598_7b57a2399e.jpg" width="458" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the front and back cover I used some black washi tape from Tim Holtz.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has a little sparkle to it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063989223/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063989223_3e1732ee07.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This book measures around 5-1/2 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches tall.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the right side there's a flap that opens to the right and to the left.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063938476/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063938476_b1f60eae3d.jpg" width="489" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When the right flap opens there are two smaller flaps that open to show a small pocket with a journaling tag. There's also a waterfall that holds eight photos. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063988538/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063988538_b3d90b4e76.jpg" width="404" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The left side opens to reveal a pocket.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

This pocket holds a booklet that has eight pages for journaling or photos can be added.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next section has a small pocket with a photo mat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063936166/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063936166_f7c78d5204.jpg" width="464" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's also a large pocket that houses a larger photo mat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next page has another pocket that holds another photo mat. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48063986068/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Oh Happy Day Folio"><img alt="Oh Happy Day Folio" height="452" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48063986068_a704f0f069.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When this page is opened to the left it reveals another waterfall that will hold five photos.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There's also a page for two small photos. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Even though I've make larger books, I much prefer creating smaller ones. It's not that they're easier, I just love how you can pack so much into such a small book. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This book would be perfect for just random photos of everyday life. There are so many fun sentiments in this collection that will look great added on top of photos once they are adhered to the photo mats. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!</div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027948547/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ada"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ada" height="389" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027948547_545b469bd9.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
I've finally finished this Gatefold Folio that I started working on the end of April.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm so happy with how it turned out! This book for my daughter. I told her I would make a book for her and had planned to make it as Christmas gift. Well, that didn't work out. I knew what paper collection I wanted to use, but I didn't know what type of book I wanted to create. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I purchased this paper collection from <a href="https://paperphenomenon.com/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Paper Phenomenon</span></a> called Flight 2715 quite a while before I decided on a project. I finally settled on the Gatefold Folio that Frances Long from <a href="https://yourbookofmemories.uscreen.io/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Your Book of Memories</span></a> created. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It probably wouldn't take a normal crafter as long to finish it as it did for me. Working full-time and only maybe getting an hour or so each evening if that to craft isn't much time. I try to get as much done on the weekends as I can, but that doesn't always pan out either. The good news is that I'm not working anymore so hopefully I will have more time for crafting!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I followed the tutorial pretty much exactly as Frances created it, but there were a few things I did a little differently. After making this, I know that next time I may change up a few other things. That's the beauty of her tutorials. You're mind is always thinking of different ways to either add or take away something. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I decided to add a collaged piece to the front. I added magnets so that the whole piece just lifts off. </div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027947762/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2adc"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2adc" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027947762_72281934ab.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
This is the patterned paper I used of both sides of the spine.<br />
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027947312/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ade"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ade" height="401" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027947312_8df8c50b13.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
On the back cover I adhered some words I cut apart from the collection.<br />
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027946557/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ae0"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ae0" height="307" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027946557_49ffd8f4eb.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
When you open the folio you see each side and the center.<br />
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027877093/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ae2"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ae2" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027877093_3f962e4164.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
The left side opens to show a vertical waterfall with a pocket on each side that holds a photo mat.</div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027945347/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ae4"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ae4" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027945347_1997ac12d9.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48028015677/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2b0a"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2b0a" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48028015677_71b69859f4.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are two flaps that open to reveal another pocket with a mat and places for journaling. </div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027914286/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2b0c"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2b0c" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027914286_dcf756d2b0.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the right side there's a pocket that opens to reveal a booklet for journaling. </div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027944087/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2ae8"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2ae8" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027944087_36a22f6100.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first flap opens to the right and reveals two expandable pockets that will hold photos or memorabilia.</div>
</div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/48027940927/in/dateposted-friend/" title="fullsizeoutput_2af0"><img alt="fullsizeoutput_2af0" height="375" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48027940927_14d35e4358.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
The next flap opens to reveal a page that opens to hold more photos.<br />
<br />
The flaps with the arrows hold the photo mat in place to keep the page closed.<br />
<br />

<br />
The next flap opens up to reveal more photo spaces.<br />
<br />
There are also two stacked pockets with photo mats inside.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The next flap opens to the right and another one to the left. There is a pocket on each side.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Each pocket holds more photo mats. </div>
<br />

<br />
The final page holds a horizontal waterfall.<br />
<br />
There's also another pocket to the side that holds a photo mat.<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I cut apart one of the sentences on one of the ephemera sheets and adhered it to the back of the waterfall. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I loved making this Gatefold Folio and will definitely make another one. I love Frances Long's tutorials!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I didn't have a lot of ephemera to decorate with. I spent time looking for stickers and other items prior to and while I was working on this. The paper collection didn't come with any stickers or chipboard pieces. I used the few items I fussy cut out of the paper sheets. The rest of the items I used dies that I had in my stash and a few odds and ends that I picked up either at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Once may daughter adds photos more stickers and ephemera can be added. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I know this post was a little photo heavy but it's the only way to show each page in detail.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!</div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808561038/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808561038_3a1d47d61c.jpg" width="483" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finally finished this album!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This baby album took a little longer than I anticipated. My cousins wife saw a baby girl album I made about three years ago. She asked me if I would make one for her son when they had a baby. They are having their first baby in June. I got it finished in plenty of time. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When you are working on a project and you only have an hour (if even that) at night after work and weekends to work on it, it seems like it takes longer than it should to finish it. I cannot wait for the day when I'm either not working or working part-time so I have more creative time!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I followed a tutorial from <a href="https://yourbookofmemories.uscreen.io/programs/baby-girl-8-x-8-album" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Your Book of Memories</span></a> for this book. I did do a few things a little differently but that's the beauty of tutorials. They are just a guide and you can make whatever your working your own. I want to give a big shout out to Frances from <a href="https://yourbookofmemories.uscreen.io/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Your Book of Memories</span></a> because she is an excellent teacher! I will be making more of these books in different themes. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This post is very photo heavy. I used the paper collection Bundle of Joy from Echo Park for this book. I used two collection kits. From my stash I used white seam binding, string, a die from Sizzix called squares framelits and the double stitched circles from Our Daily Bread. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For the buttons on the front cover I had a horrible time trying to search through my collection to find just the right ones to use. I finally gave up for the night when I was working on this part because I couldn't make a decision. The next morning I had a brainstorm while having coffee but I could do anything because I had to go to work. All day I thought about what I wanted to do. When I got home I went straight to my craft room and looked for some clear buttons I have from Hero Arts. I glued them to some of the paper scraps. I then went about doing other things I had to get done. Later when I had time to craft I used my craft knife to cut around the buttons and sanded them little. I love how they turned out and they match the collection!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For the frame on the cover, I die cut several pieces using a Sizzix framelits die and stacked them together. The right side is open so a photo can be inserted.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808561918/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808561918_665d3617d5.jpg" width="364" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a tassle of sorts for the spine. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love using crinkled seam binding. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808562698/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="348" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808562698_8324625847.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I ended up making seven buttons. Four for the cover and three for the spine. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I didn't wrap the spine like Frances did in the tutorial. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sometimes I will use sticky back canvas not the spine, but I liked this one without doing that. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808561528/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="500" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808561528_09119f5398.jpg" width="468" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The back cover is pretty plain. I used a cut apart from the collection and mounted it on cardstock.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808559818/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="315" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808559818_1cb1c2717f.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The from inside cover gave me a few issues. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had no luck adding the expandable pocket as shown in the tutorial.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I ended up doing it a different way. It worked and I'm happy with how it turned out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33808559308/in/dateposted-friend/" title="8x8 Baby Boy Book"><img alt="8x8 Baby Boy Book" height="328" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/33808559308_8a128f0590.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are many flips and flaps in this book. I love it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I have to put a few finishing touches on some smaller books I have. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One I started last October. The book is finished I just have to embellish it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After that I'm starting a travel album for my daughter. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you follow me on social media, I share updates of my projects as I work them. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love this little chunky book! It's kinda heavy too!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by!</div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/47460335361/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="500" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7832/47460335361_cdc3cb1f8c.jpg" width="420" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been awhile since I've posted!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's because I broke my wrist February 8th. It was my right wrist and of course I'm right handed!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was off work for 4 weeks, which in hindsight wasn't enough time. I should have been off at least another two weeks. I started taking the cast off last week and now am just wearing something around my wrist to keep it stable. I still wear the cast overnight. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I still have some pain and I don't have full mobility yet. I still struggle with some every day things. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm dying to start crafting again! Friday night I thought I would try to cut some chipboard to see if it bothered my wrist. Low and behold it didn't so I made this book! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The moral of my story is....if you dog shits and it's icy out.....don't pick it up!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now on to my book.....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This isn't my own design. I just want to get that out there right from the start.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This Folio design is by Frances Long from Your Book Of Memories. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
She is awesome! If you've ever wanted to make a book from scratch and haven't I encourage you to check out her <a href="https://yourbookofmemories.uscreen.io/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">site</span></a> and see if she has something that you would love to create. I've made tons of books, some my own design and some I've followed tutorials. I've followed Frances for a long time and just recently bought some of her tutorials. She is an excellent teacher. If you've never made a book before she will guide you through the process. You can also find her on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg5NDLJtt4URs3UT9ozZmGA" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">YouTube</span></a> and watch her walk-through's of her books. She links you to her site if you're interested in the tutorial.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For this book I used the paper collection Fetch by Photo Play.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the cover I used one of the cut-apart's from the collection. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For my ribbon closure I used seam binding. I took faded jeans distress ink and dyed it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/33584032528/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="500" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7801/33584032528_3662c3040d.jpg" width="299" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the back cover I used two stickers from the sticker sheet. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/47460334231/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="500" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7913/47460334231_5c74869dd5.jpg" width="383" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This Folio measures 6 - 9/16th inches wide by 9 - 1/2 inches tall.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/40494251903/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="331" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7874/40494251903_171a592170.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The double waterfall will hold 26 photos. All photo mats are made for 4 x 6 photos.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I cut out the two dog photos above from one of the cardstock sheets and mounted them on black cardstock. On the first two photo mats on the waterfall I used cut-parts so those spots wouldn't be used for photos.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/47460333281/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="363" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7873/47460333281_aa6982f691.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/47460332811/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="375" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7855/47460332811_d57bbc43c1.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are five tags that can be used for journaling. Both sides are white. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46545083495/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="375" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7866/46545083495_9cff53a3eb.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added two booklets that will each hold an additional four 4 x 6 photos. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That brings the total of photos that this folio holds to 34!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46545083145/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="362" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7824/46545083145_c055b04417.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After I took this photo I noticed that I have the bones on the photo on the left going in a different direction. I thought about fixing it, but the bones can go in either direction!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46545082615/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Double Waterfall Folio"><img alt="Double Waterfall Folio" height="324" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7926/46545082615_5cf2d93fe8.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45810345244/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="500" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7827/45810345244_c4d2d0c37b.jpg" width="384" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This lasagna recipe is from the book below. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've been craving lasagna but didn't want to make the recipe I normally use. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This recipe is six large servings and is made in the crock pot. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/31593850217/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4834/31593850217_c349f58132.jpg" width="340" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45810364614/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="500" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7826/45810364614_9fd462ed4d.jpg" width="395" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The photo above is the second layer of noodles and below is the second layer of the ricotta/mozzarella layer. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/31593869047/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="381" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4881/31593869047_ab1bbaeea2.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Final layer of beef mixture.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I slow cooked this for four hours on low. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44716771840/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="369" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7871/44716771840_016d1c1126.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The photo above is the final layer of mozzarella/Parmesan cheese. The crock pot was then turned off and I waited around 10 minutes to let the cheese melt. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44716766520/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="357" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4828/44716766520_3fefd6a8b7.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After it had "firmed up" a little I divided it into 6 servings. They are quite large.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46482095902/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Classic Lasagna"><img alt="Classic Lasagna" height="357" src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7852/46482095902_606f0c2ba7.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This recipe comes in at 10 SmartPoints for 1/6th of the recipe. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'd make it again, I thought it was pretty good. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46243600982/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas Wreath"><img alt="Merry Christmas Wreath" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4817/46243600982_a54a0bfe81.jpg" width="385" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Christmas cards are one of the occasions that I love to create cards for. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've downsized my card list considerably. I used to attempt to make every card I sent out different. This year I decided to do something different for me. I created a small amount of one card design and then moved on to another design. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I created these wreaths but changed up the background paper for each card. I didn't purchase any new Christmas cardstock this year. I just used what I had on hand. All of the cards shown below with the exception of the snowflake cards use Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Stash Tidings cardstock. I've had it for awhile and I love it. It's pretty much used up. I'll have to see if I can find another pad of it or see what other Christmas cardstock Tim Holtz has available. I love his products because they are so vintage. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/32421964018/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas Wreath"><img alt="Merry Christmas Wreath" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4826/32421964018_aa7cb3849f.jpg" width="382" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my wreaths I die cut circles using the Double Stitched Circles from Our Daily Bread. All of the greenery was die cut using Sizzix Thinlits products. I used Tim Holtz Alterations Retro Merry Christmas, Holiday Words: Script - Christmas and Garden Greens. I used some miscellaneous poinsettia's that I picked up last year at Hobby Lobby. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did make my own poinsettia's using a Sizzix die. After I had them all together and I had sprinkled some Papericious Frosting Powder on them, I didn't like them. I just set them aside for another project. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used glitter cardstock for the sentiments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After the wreaths had been assembled I splattered them with Perfect Pearls. This card was my favorite!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46243588162/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas Wreath"><img alt="Merry Christmas Wreath" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4851/46243588162_ca24e04f20.jpg" width="476" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the next card I used the same paper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I heat embossed the sentiments using Hero Arts Gold and Silver embossing powder. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/32422011828/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas"><img alt="Merry Christmas" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4831/32422011828_85208fbf7a.jpg" width="392" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All of the sentiments are from the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Mini Doodle Greetings stamp set.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I bought this set and the larger set last year and this is the first time I've used them! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a strip of Tim Holtz Idea-ology gold deco tape to each card. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46243659132/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas"><img alt="Merry Christmas" height="481" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4833/46243659132_ac98b80b34.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the greenery on my cards I used Concord and 9th's Take A Bough Die. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used Rangers Tim Holtz Distress collage medium that I spread on with a brush and then sprinkled on frosting powder from Papericious. I first saw this stuff at a stamp show I went to this past summer at the Heartfelt Creations booth. The poinsettia is from Hobby Lobby. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46293874421/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas"><img alt="Merry Christmas" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4868/46293874421_2c23cf3b82.jpg" width="434" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This card again uses the same paper as the two cards shown above.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the sentiment I diecut Merry Christmas using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Retro Christmas die. The greenery is Holiday Greens and Garden Greenery. The same dies I used above on the wreath card. For both cards I added Ranger Ruby Red Liquid Pearls to the Kraft colored cardstock. I again spritzed perfect pearls over the greenery. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46293868341/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas"><img alt="Merry Christmas" height="479" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4861/46293868341_41c3b99061.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my snowflake cards I heat embossed snowflakes using the Simon Says Stamp Lots of Snowflakes stamp set. I stamped them with Distress Oxide ink in evergreen bough and then used Hero Arts clear embossing powder. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a strip of patterned cardstock from a paper pad by The Paper Studio called Old World Winter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added a strip of Tim Holtz Idea-ology gold deco tape.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45570456994/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas Snowflakes"><img alt="Merry Christmas Snowflakes" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4891/45570456994_5e751aa55f.jpg" width="424" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The stamp and die are from WPlus9 called Hand Lettered Holiday. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut three Merry die cuts. Using one I added VersaMark several times and kept heat embossing it with Hero Arts gold embossing powder until I was satisfied with how it looked. I then adhered three die cuts together. I then stamped the Christmas sentiment and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45381324215/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Merry Christmas Snowflakes"><img alt="Merry Christmas Snowflakes" height="498" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4885/45381324215_12ebce0c3b.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I happened to be up in Plymouth last Saturday so I popped into Anchor Paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found this die from Hero Arts called Snowflakes & Ornaments Fancy Die. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There's another piece to the die so that you can make the snowflake look like an ornament.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I chose not to use that piece for this card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I watercolored two pieces of cardstock. One with Distress ink in candied apple and one in mowed lawn for each card. I die cut the circle snowflake out of the candied apple cardstock and then adhered it to the mowed lawn cardstock. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then die cut three circles for each card using white cardstock and the double stitched circles die from Our Daily Bread. After adhering them together I added them to the front of the card piece around the snowflakes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46294181301/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Joy To The World"><img alt="Joy To The World" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4804/46294181301_63a6f52d39.jpg" width="410" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a few silver sequins to the front of each card and they were done!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/46294180051/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Joy To The World"><img alt="Joy To The World" height="483" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4877/46294180051_36fd8028f9.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I still have a few cards that I'm working on but this is the majority of the cards I made this year. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'll post any others I send out in another post. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!</div>

This past Saturday evening I was working on cards at the crop I was at for the weekend. I was so happy when I finished this one. I was writing down all my products so that I could blog it when I got home and could get a decent photo. That's when I realized I had placed my image and sentiment in the wrong spot. Everything was pretty well adhered so I couldn't move anything. I set the card aside and then came across the Paper Players challenge. My card worked perfectly for this challenge!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45691316092/in/dateposted-friend/" title="The Paper Players PP417: Claire's Theme Challenge"><img alt="The Paper Players PP417: Claire's Theme Challenge" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4809/45691316092_3fdf3e9eb5.jpg" width="396" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used distress oxide ink in walnut stain for my project. This is actually the second print using the Tim Holtz woodgrain layering stencil. When I pulled the stencil off the first print I spritzed the stencil with water and then laid my mixed media cardstock on top of the stencil to get the ink off. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The leaves are some from my stash that I made with distress oxide inks using the stamp and die set from Reverse Confetti. I made quite a few to use in various projects. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I diecut my circle using a Spellbinders die and stamped the image using Gina K Designs Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set. I love how this card turned out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This weeks <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-55/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Simon Says Stamp Challenge</span></a> is Anything Goes using their products. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I definitely don't have to worry about not having any of their products, because I love them!! So I'm linking my card to their challenge!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I had created this panel awhile ago. I just didn't know what sentiment I wanted to use with it to make a card. I've looked at it many times and just couldn't make a decision. I also didn't know if I wanted to add color around the image or not. I finally just pulled out a stamp set and randomly chose a sentiment. I don't know why it's so hard to do that sometimes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45691104302/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Hey Sunshine"><img alt="Hey Sunshine" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1902/45691104302_4f84f14464.jpg" width="453" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I heat embossed my image with white embossing powder and then watercolored the image with Zig Clean Color markers. I'm still learning when it comes to coloring images, but I think I'm getting a little better. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The stamp sets I used from Simon Says Stamp are the Handlettered Encouragement for the sentiment and Sketched Flowers for the image. I have seen so many gorgeous cards using the Sketched Flowers stamp set. I'm normally drooling over them because they are just amazing!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

One more card for a challenge today!<br />

I love random thoughts. I adore Visible Image stamps. They have so many cool sentiments. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This stamp is called Creativity. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This was a second generation print using a stencil from The Crafters Workshop called mini chickenwire reversed and leftover ink from another card I had made. I used distress oxide ink for this print, but I'm not sure of the color. This was one of the prints I pulled from my overflowing container of backgrounds. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used some bling from my stash to finish off my card. </div>

I'm also linking this card to the <a href="https://www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/72157702829761295/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Simon Says Stamp Flicker Challenge Let Your Stencils Shine</span></a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Today I'm trying to link all the cards I made at a crop this past weekend to the challenges that are ending in the next day or so. I think right now I have three including this one that I have to link. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had to wait until I got home to get decent photos so I could submit them. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I make a lot of backgrounds when I don't know what I want to do while in my craft room. I usually toss them into a container until I decide if I'm going to use them for a card or die cut sentiments from them. I was able to use a few of my backgrounds this past weekend and create cards!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For this card I used a PaperTrey Ink stencil along with distress oxide ink to create a watercolor background. The colors I used were wild honey and crushed olive. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I die cut some garden greens using a Tim Holtz thinlet die from Sizzix. I've started die cutting more and just tossing them in a container for use on cards at a moments notice. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The set is called Handlettered Encouragement. I love all stamps from Simon Says Stamp. They are one of my favorite companies.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finished off the card with some cork bling from Recollections. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's it! Now on to the next card!</div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/30793494907/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Be Yourself"><img alt="Be Yourself" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1902/30793494907_925de24a54.jpg" width="410" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />

<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43908214820/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Awesome"><img alt="Awesome" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4824/43908214820_5331f9fdd6.jpg" width="421" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is my clean and simple card for the challenge going on over on the <a href="http://cleanandsimpleonsunday.blogspot.com/2018/11/challenge-145-make-card-to-brightens.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CasOnSunday+%28CAS+on+Sunday%29" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">CAS on Sunday: Challenge #145</span></a> blog. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was at a scrapbook retreat the last four days with a lovely, lively fun group of women. We had a blast! I don't usually get a lot done at these events because I spend more time socializing than I do crafting. I did get quite a few cards done for some challenges going on this week and this is the first one that I'm posting. Many more to come in the next few days!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43908211360/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Awesome"><img alt="Awesome" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4811/43908211360_07c106438d.jpg" width="403" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I really love clean and simple cards. The theme for this card is to make a card to brighten someones day. That's not hard for me because I have a lot of stamps sets with positive sentiments, which are my favorite!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This card was pretty easy to put together. I applied distress oxide ink in mermaid lagoon over a Tim Holt layering stencil with a stencil brush. I don't have all my stuff put away yet and I neglected to write down the name of stencil. I stamped the triangles using the stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Perfect Shapes. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp called Handlettered Encouragement. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43908206990/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Awesome"><img alt="Awesome" height="500" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4872/43908206990_e00a6cc24f.jpg" width="411" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The crop retreat I was at is in a cute little town in Buffalo, MN. On the first day of the crop I maybe got one card finished. The second day I was gone for quite a while because a few of us took a field trip to St. Cloud, about 50 miles or so away so that we could go to this wonderful craft store called Crafts Direct. The third day the same few of us went shopping around Buffalo, MN where the crop was held because all the stores were open. There are so many fun little boutiques, occasional sales and antiques stores to go through! We didn't hit them all but we did get to quite a few. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Saturday evening I really got busy so that I would have cards for the challenges I want to participate in. I had a fantastic time, but it's back to reality and that means going back to work! Thankfully I was smart and took an extra day off so I can get all my stuff put away and just rest!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!</div>

I love fall cards. I think it's because I love all the different variations of color on the leaves.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For my background I applied distress ink over the Christmas Plaid stencil from Echo Park. I used barn door and mustard seed distress ink. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The stamp set and dies are from Reverse Confetti called Fall Foliage. I stamped the images and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Before adhering the leaves I spattered some green distress ink over the background.</div>

I'm linking my card to the <a href="https://www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/72157702829761295/" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #109 - Let You Stencils Shine!</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a stencil called Square Dance from Simon Says Stamp for my background.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I thought the colors would be darker so I was a little surprised especially since one of the colors was distress ink in barn door. I used that color first. I then moved the stencil over just a bit and went back over the card stock with mustard seed distress ink. The colors look pastel. I did apply the color with a stencil brush so that does make a difference in how light the colors are. I love the pattern this technique created. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44727204935/in/dateposted-friend/" title="So Grateful..."><img alt="So Grateful..." height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1923/44727204935_59a63deae1.jpg" width="481" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For my sentiment I used a new set from Simon Says Stamp called Thanks and Leaves. I love this set!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Using my MISTI I stamped all the leaves and the sentiment and then heat embossed them with Hero Arts gold embossing powder. I like how the embossing turned out. It's difficult to get a good photo with the shine. I finished the card off with some sparkling clear droplets. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Where does the weekend go?!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I feel like it was just Friday and I was so happy to be leaving work and looking forward to two days of doing what I want to do. The weekends never last long enough. At the very least they should always be three days long. All I can say is thank God I'm super close to retirement! I can't wait!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I watercolored some mixed media cardstock Friday evening and Saturday morning with distress inks. The colors I used were peeled paint, dried marigold, barn door, wild honey, crushed olive, spiced marmalade, mustard seed and rusty hinge. While letting my panels dry I started looking through challenges to see if there were any that I wanted to link up some cards to. I found a few with one being a sketch challenge for <a href="http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2018/10/freshly-made-sketches-360-sketch-by-amy.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Freshly Made Sketches</span></a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I started by stamping leaves using the Reverse Confetti stamp set called Fall Foliage and then die cutting them with their companion die set. </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43785003910/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Thankful Grateful Blessed"><img alt="Thankful Grateful Blessed" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1954/43785003910_ea9f8e4f81.jpg" width="386" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45552231002/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Thankful Grateful Blessed"><img alt="Thankful Grateful Blessed" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1960/45552231002_e6d171a99d.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used mustard seed distress ink first on my background. Then using a Tim Holtz layering stencil called linen, I used a stencil brush to lightly ink the background with spiced marmalade distress ink. </div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/30661796607/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Thankful Grateful Blessed"><img alt="Thankful Grateful Blessed" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1920/30661796607_dbeb7e12fb.jpg" width="375" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I die cut my circle from one of the watercolor panels using a double stitched circle die from Our Daily Bread. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment I used is from the Gina K Designs Autumn Wreath Builder stamp set. </div>
<br />
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43784995820/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Thankful Grateful Blessed"><img alt="Thankful Grateful Blessed" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1949/43784995820_542c008ee1.jpg" width="414" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script><br />

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am really getting this card posted to the challenge last minute!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm normally running behind, but not this late!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My card is for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge and it ends at 9am today!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I wanted to submit one more card because the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenges are one of my favorites and I love the "Anything Goes" challenges. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: blue;">Simon Says Flicker Challenge 108! Anything Goes</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love this stamp set! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I actually created this background and two others at the same time. I've posted one <a href="http://patitudes.blogspot.com/2018/10/cas-on-friday-thank-you-card-simon-says.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">card</span></a>, but didn't know what sentiment I wanted to use on the other two. So this is the second one and I still have one more card to post. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43732282040/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Grateful"><img alt="Grateful" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1923/43732282040_2a8a631204.jpg" width="405" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My background was created using distress oxide ink in salty ocean.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the image with versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then added the ink to my craft mat, spritzed water and dipped my cardstock into it and let it dry. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The stamp set is called Sketched Flowers by Simon Says Stamp.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44824424934/in/dateposted-friend/" title="Grateful"><img alt="Grateful" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1952/44824424934_fab168880d.jpg" width="445" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The die and sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs called Grateful Greetings.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The stamp set has quite a few sentiments. I love this one!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a few clear sparkling droplets to finish off the card. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had hoped to link some cards to a few more challenges this past week but time wasn't on my side!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My background was stamped using a stamp set from Gina K Designs called Whimsical Wildflowers.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a great set because there's also a set of dies that coordinate with the flowers and leaves. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/31656500348/in/dateposted-friend/" title="If I had a flower..."><img alt="If I had a flower..." height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1932/31656500348_261d813bf0.jpg" width="394" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used Distress Oxide inks for the flowers. The colors used were: fired brick, fossilized amber, wild honey, spiced marmalade, peeled paint and tea dye.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45529090561/in/dateposted-friend/" title="If I had a flower..."><img alt="If I had a flower..." height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1954/45529090561_35ae119e90.jpg" width="448" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The background for my sentiment was created by adding fired brick ink to my mat, spritzing it with water and then dipping my cardstock into it. I stamped the sentiment with versafine ink in black onyx. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love this stamp set. I can't wait to play with it some more!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is my card that I'm linking to the three challenges below.</div>
<br />

<br />
<a href="http://craftingwithanattitude.blogspot.com/2018/10/challenge-44.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Crafting With An Attitude: Challenge 44 Anything Goes</span></a><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/45397476601/in/dateposted-friend/" title="So Many Reasons"><img alt="So Many Reasons" height="413" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1920/45397476601_6918631c4c.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was scrolling through some YouTube videos on my lunch hour and came across one by Jennifer McGuire where she did some foiling. Unfortunately I didn't save the video and can't find it so that I can link to it. I searched her videos and she has quite a few on foiling. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44673952634/in/dateposted-friend/" title="So Many Reasons"><img alt="So Many Reasons" height="469" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1937/44673952634_494994e4ba.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Her directions were pretty easy. She stamped her image with versamark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. After that you add foil on top of the image and then run it through your laminator. Easy peasy. She didn't even use a piece of parchment paper, she just ran it through the machine without it. I followed her directions and was very happy with the results.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/44673947684/in/dateposted-friend/" title="So Many Reasons"><img alt="So Many Reasons" height="500" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1980/44673947684_6ae74089d1.jpg" width="385" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used Therm-O-Web's Summer Rainbow Deco Foil.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pattitudes/43580863470/in/dateposted-friend/" title="So Many Reasons"><img alt="So Many Reasons" height="406" src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1911/43580863470_8898b91644.jpg" width="500" /></a><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I wish I could have taken a better photo. It's really hard to capture shine from the foil. In my photos some of the images look darker than they really are. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
