Iced Mocha Frappé

Iced Mocha Frappe

Yesterday I had some leftover coffee so I whipped this up. It's so quick and easy since there are barely any ingredients. I did change the recipe a little. I didn't use whole milk like the recipe states, I used almond milk. I don't know what the calories are in whole milk, but almond milk is only 60 calories per cup. That would lead me to believe my version would be less than what the recipe says which is 125 calories. You could make it even lower by using sugar substitute in place of the sugar. Enjoy!

Iced Mocha Frappé
Makes 2 Drinks

2/3 cup cold strong brewed coffee
2/3 cup whole milk
2 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
4 tsp. sugar
2 cups ice cubes

In blender, combine coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, sugar and ice. Blend until mixture is smooth and ice is finely crushed. Serve immediately.

Each drink: About 125 calories, 3 g protein, 24 g carboyhydrate, 3 g total fat (2 g saturated), 0 g fiber, 11 mg cholesterol, 60 mg sodium.

Your iced mocha sounds delicious Patty. I have been saving my leftover coffee in the fridge to drink when it's too hot out for regular hot coffee. I will definitely try this!

I like to save my leftover hazelnut coffee for iced drinks! I can drink hot coffee any time...even when it's hot & steamy outside:)
