We had visitors this weekend. My sister-in-law Judy and her husband Gary came over from the Twin Cities. On Saturday we drove up to Little Bohemia Lodge in Manitowish Waters for lunch. For those of you who saw the movie "Public Enemies" with Johnny Depp last year, you'll remember the history behind Little Bohemia. That's where John Dillinger and his gang had the famous shootout with the F.B.I. in 1934. Dillinger and many of the gang members escaped. You can read more about the story
here. We thought they'd enjoy seeing it because Gary's uncle, Dr. Clayton May, had treated Dillinger and many other gangsters in St. Paul. In May of '34 Dr. May was sentenced to two years in prison for harboring a fugitive. Much of the damage from the shootout can still be seen and additional damage was "manufactured" for the movie. Below are some of the photos we took.

We even had time for a round of miniature golf to end the day.
Gary and I wanted to go horseback riding, but with my back issues and his bum knee, our spouses wouldn't let us.
