What NOT To Do When Crafting!

I made a HUGE mistake yesterday. One that just made me sick! I was trying to run my star die through my Vagabond machine while on the phone discussing an estimate for a repair. Hindsight is always twenty-twenty. When the phone rang I should have stopped what I was doing.

I couldn't figure out what the issue was because I had just used the same die the previous week in my Big Shot. Both machines basically do the same thing except that the Vagabond is electric.

When I got off the phone I called Sizzix (the manufacturer). They had me send a photo to them. When they got back to me and told me I forgot to take the die out of the plastic case I just about died! How could I not see that?!

Needless to say it was a very costly mistake and one I won't be repeating any time soon. Sizzix gave me the option of returning it so they could repair it. The second option was to purchase a new machine at a very reduced cost plus free shipping. I took the second option.

I'm beginning to wonder if I really SHOULD have this machine. My late husband gave this to me as a Christmas gift last year. The one he gave me had something wrong with it so they replaced the machine for free. I maybe used the machine about five times or so and then my husband got sick and I didn't get to craft for months. Now I'm back to crafting and I make this stupid mistake. Makes you wonder! When I get the new one, I'm almost afraid to use it.
