Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Frosting

Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Frosting
This is my favorite chocolate cake and frosting recipe. The cake is very moist and the frosting is so creamy. In my's the best! I thought I had misplaced the recipe. When I came across it, I made sure to put it in a safe place.
Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Frosting2
My plan was to make these for my birthday....two weeks ago! Life got in the way and I never got around to it. I finally had time to get them made and they were worth the wait! If I could just get my husband to have one.....

Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Frosting

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2/3 cups cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brewed coffee at room temperature

Peanut Butter Frosting
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar

Combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes. Stir in coffee (batter will be thin). Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes. Cool completely. For frosting, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter in a mixing bowl until smooth. Beat in sugar, milk and vanilla. Spread over cake. Sprinkle with miniature chocolate chips if desired. Store in refrigerator.
