Here is a super simple crockpot recipe for Pork Chops and Mushrooms. The recipe is from the cookbook '101 Things To Do With A Slow Cooker' by Stephanie Ashcraft and Janet Eyring. There are a ton of books from this series of '101 Things To Do With A ....' and I have several of them. I love them all! I can't even remember all of them, but one that comes to mind has to do with cakes.
This recipe calls for four pork chops, I just used three. I also only used one onion instead of two.
Pork Chops and Mushrooms
4 boneless pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
2 medium onions, sliced
1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup water
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup, condensed
Place meat in greased 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 -quart slow cooker. Top with onions and mushrooms. In a separate bowl, combine soup mix, water and soup. Pour over mushrooms and pork chops. Cover and cook on low heat 6-8 hours. Makes 4 servings.
