Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs Mini Album

Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs Mini Album

I finally created an album with this gorgeous Graphic 45 pet collection! I don't know how long I've had this paper line sitting on a shelf. Too long, that's for sure!

I buy the collections I love and then I just can't get myself to cut into them and start a project. I visualize it, but don't make it a reality. I'm not going to say how many collections of paper lines I have just waiting for me to make something out of them. Not all are Graphic 45, but quite a few are!

For the cover I did use some of the flower cardstock die-cuts from the collection along with flowers I had in my stash. I think they are from Petaloo and some others I picked up somewhere. I used some bling I had on hand for the flower centers.

There are fourteen pages total including the front and back cover. I had planned to use some black book rings I have but the book ended up too chunky and I had to go buy some larger rings.

I love this paper! I tried to coordinate the pages that open together.

This page has a pull out photo mat.

This flap opens up for room for more photos.

The page to the left has two pockets that hold two photo mats and two tags.

The page to the right holds a frame. I pulled out an old Sizzix die I've had forever to make the frame. The white cardstock can be pulled out and used as a template to cut a photo to slide in it's place.

I love the patterned paper on the page to the left!

This page opens up to add photos and there is another pull out photo mat.

The page to the left has a booklet that opens (shown below). I also added one of the cardstock pockets and a tag from the collection. The page to the right has a pocket that holds a booklet (shown below).

The page to the left holds two photo mats as does the page to the right.

I added another frame to hold a photo. This time I changed the orientation on the page. The page to the right holds two more photo mats.

I love the colors in this collection.

It's quite a chunky book.

I love creating the books that don't use binding rings, but for some reason books with rings hold a special place in my heart. They are my favorite to create!

Love the paper I used for the back cover!

I hand dyed all the ribbon for the rings. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to coordinate the colors.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Dog Cards

A few months ago I asked friends and family if they had any photos of their pets that they'd be willing to share with me for cardmaking. I made a card using my grandpup Louie (you can see it here) that turned out so cute and I wanted to create some more. Thanks to everyone for the use of their pets photos. I've been going through them and trying to find just the right sentiment for each one. I still need some good cat ones and would also take dog ones too. Our dog and cats are so dark, it's so hard to get good pictures of them.

These are four that I have finished, but there are more to come. The first one is Mr. Lou, my grandpup. He's such a character and so photogenic! Thanks to my daughter, Sarah Jackson, for the use of Lou's photos. I just laugh whenever I look at this one!
Life....

My friend Jeanne Hartmann gave me the next ones to use. They are her sister, Jane Trombley's dogs. I love the look on this guys face so much I had to create two cards!

Seriously....

You...

This one is so adorable! I love puppies. Just looking at this one makes you want touch that soft fur!

Worry...

Products used for these cards include miscellaneous scraps, base cardstock from PTI in white and new leaf, May Arts jute, Hero Arts metallic decor, ribbon, brad, paper clip, Hero Arts Stamps CL487, CL387 and CL351. Photo credits: Sarah Jackson and Jane Trombley.

Watch for more fun pet cards. Thanks for stopping by!
